a professor of mine used this in a presentation today. it really struck me because it is such an accurate description. words can bring joy and devastation. words shape and change people's lives. words can be arranged and twisted into profound stories and lyrics. words are the foundation of our social networks and how we primarily communicate what we think and how we feel. words are the reason i love reading, writing, music, and speech pathology. perhaps it's a bit nerdy, but i love words.
nerdy? yes. awesome? double yes. i love that you love words. it is such a big part of who you are. and who wants to not be a nerd? nerds are ways cooler than normal people. they have passions instead of fancies.
